I will admit it wasn’t until my late 20s when I started to pay more attention to my skincare and even when I did start caring about skincare, sunscreen took a backseat. Why Do I Need to Wear Face Sunscreen Daily

We are exposed daily to harmful UV rays when we are outside AND when we get sun exposure through windows, in our car and even on cloudy days. Wearing a daily face sunscreen creates a barrier to block these rays from your face and reduce the likelihood of sunburn and unseen long term skin damage.

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the US. As a cancer survivor myself I am more mindful of cancer risk reducing habits I can incorporate into my life. By wearing sunscreen daily, you can cut your risk of skin cancer in half!!! I would say that is worth it. Skin cancer is particularly common on the face and it’s an area many people neglect when it comes to daily protection.
3. Face Sunscreen Prevents Premature Aging of the Skin
The sun damage from UV rays causes increased aging of the skin which is commonly seen as leathery skin, discoloration and/or a breakdown of collagen, which can result in sagging, lines and more wrinkles. While I am grateful to be here and have the gift of aging, I don’t want to show it in my face and wearing daily skincare can keep your skin looking more youthful.
