After my Invisalign experience my teeth had been stained from the long term tray wear and my daily coffee obsession! When I learned that Silver Sky Organics offered organic teeth whitening I jumped at the opportunity to try it. Keep reading for my full review and experience.

Silver Sky Organics: More About the Owners

Silver Sky Organics is owned by two amazing local women, Heather-Sue and Jennifer, both with health and wellness backgrounds. Their studio space is absolutely gorgeous filled with Heather-Sue’s artwork and truly feels like an oasis in an office park. At their space they offer organic teeth whitening and tanning, which I can’t wait to go back for.

The Organic Teeth Whitening Product

Silver Sky Organics uses an organic whitening gel made fresh weekly with USA organic plant and mineral based ingredients. The gel included no harmful chemicals or preservatives making it safe for everyone including pregnant women, nursing mothers and even children.

They also use a remineralization treatment on the teeth and after the whitening which contains 73 trace minerals that help replenish vital minerals in the teeth and strengthen and repair damaged enamel. This can help minimize tooth sensitivity.

The Teeth Whitening Process

We started the process by examining my existing tooth shade and talking about goals for the whitening. Most people lift many shades during one appointment.

Once we recorded my existing share, they got me comfortable in an amazing heated massage chair and applied the remineralizing gel to my teeth to help with protection before we began whitening. She was also very careful to protect my gums and lips with a vitamin E gel.

Once my mouth was prepped she applied the gel to my teeth and I was left to rest for 20 minutes with the LED light on my teeth. We completed 3 rounds with the gel. If your teeth are extra strained and you don’t experience any sensitivity you may do 4 cycles. My teeth lifted well after 3 rounds so we ended the whitening process at that point.

To finish the process, we reapplied the remineralizing gel to my teeth. I took this gel home with me and applied twice times a day for about a week.

Teeth Whitening Follow Up

For the 2 hours following my appointment I was instructed to rehydrate as that can help with the sensitivity. I was also asked to avoid all dark colored food and drinks for 24 hours.

I did have some sensitivity that night but with the remineralization gel it went away in about 24 hours.

Over the next few days I also used the whitening pen they sent home with my to keep my white, bright smile!

My Teeth Whitening Reflection

It was such a pleasure to work with Heather Sue and Jennifer. Their space truly made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. It was such a smooth procedure and I couldn’t believe I feel asleep as my teeth were whitening. I was disappointed to have some sensitivity but that’s quite normal for me so it was probably wishful thinking. I felt really good at the end knowing I got great results without the use of any harmful chemicals or preservatives.
