Over the last two years as my hair has grown back following chemo, I have become adjusted to the shorter length. I learned how to style my hair at each stage and I adjusted my fashion and makeup to compliment my hairstyle. The one thing I have missed though are updos. Anyone who knew me pre-cancer knew I LIVED in a topknot – the perfect solution to oversleeping and restyling dirty hair. While I am still longing for the days when I can easily throw my hair up in a messy bun, I have learned creative ways to do updos on short hair and create the illusion of more hair.
I filmed this braided updo for you all and the best part is it can be done on short or long hair. To be honest, it would be must easier on long hair, but I am showing you how to do this look on short hair since that is what I am working with right now.
